Jim's Motor ClinicPrivacy
This notice explains how JMC – Jim's Motor Clinic handles personal information received through website enquiries and normal customer contact.
Information we may receive
This can include your name, contact details, vehicle registration, vehicle information, details of the work or fault you contact us about, booking information and communications relating to your vehicle.
How we use it
We use this information to respond to enquiries, prepare quotes, arrange and carry out requested work, provide customer updates, keep appropriate business records and deal with follow-up questions.
Quote form and WhatsApp
The quote form on this website does not store your answers in a JMC website database. It prepares a WhatsApp message on your device. Your details are sent only when you choose to send that message through WhatsApp.
Lawful basis
Depending on the situation, we process information because it is necessary to take steps at your request before providing a service, to perform an agreed service, to meet legal obligations, or because we have a legitimate business interest in handling customer enquiries and maintaining appropriate records.
How long we keep information
We keep information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the enquiry or job, business administration, accounting, legal obligations and the handling of any later questions about work carried out.
Who information may be shared with
Information may be handled through service providers used to communicate with customers or run the business, such as email and messaging providers. We do not sell customer information.
Cookies and analytics
This version of the JMC website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. It contains links to third-party services such as WhatsApp, Google Maps and Instagram; those services have their own privacy practices.
Your rights
UK data-protection law may give you rights over your personal information, including rights to ask for access, correction or deletion in appropriate circumstances. To ask a question or make a request, email jimschof1@gmail.com.
Complaints
